Getting to School

At Ellerslie School we fully support our families in walking, riding or scootering to school with safety as our highest priority.

All children who wish to ride a bike or scooter to school must have completed a permission form.

The Ellerslie Walking School Bus is a parent led initiative and operates in the mornings. Students meet at a designated place and walk the rest of the way to school with the rostered on parents.

Children who cross the roads are expected to use the crossings controlled by lights without exception.

Ellerslie School promotes safe and efficient school travel with Travelwise. A group of year 6 students help their fellow students exit cars safely near the school gates. Travelwise has two main goals: to ensure the safety of everyone when coming to school and to encourage parents to drop their children off and leave immediately so that others can do the same.

Parents/caregivers who are dropping and/or picking up children at the school, please take notice of the yellow lines, neighbouring driveways and park appropriately.
