Music

Each Guardian Group from Years 2 to 8 will have the opportunity to participate in a series of 70-minute specialised music lessons throughout the year in our well-equipped music suite, guided by our specialist music teacher. The programme is designed to provide hands-on musical experiences that align with the New Zealand Music Curriculum, combining an Orff-based teaching approach with music appreciation, analysis, games, movement, and instrument playing. Students will also enjoy performance opportunities, composition projects, and a variety of fun, creative activities that foster a love for music.

 

Additionally, students can further enhance their musical journey by joining extracurricular groups such as the Choir, Marimba Group, Rock Band, and Ukulele Group.
